The most critical points seem to be:

Unfortunately I don't think your HP debts are entered twice- the second time they are in brackets and the system hasn't added them in.

Do you own anything else you could sell on ebay?

Yeah I thought that was the case unfortunately!

And I have plenty stuff to sell on ebay, currently got about 40 items up for sale and loads more I can get rid of.

RAS: thanks for the tip, I'll definately check out that forum.

Just want to say thanks to everyone, I know now I'm not alone and it is possible to get out of this mess.

I'll update my SOA everytime I've made payments, hopefully I'll be able to get a loan pretty soon from the credit union and get that payday loan cleared, also my council tax and rent. Once this is done I'll start on the rest, although I'll probably need some help with my priorities if you don't mind!

I've read about quidco alot on this site, can somebody explain a liitle about it. I've been on the website briefly but haven't had time to make sense of it yet.
Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.
  • Ok just been on the quidco website and registered. I think I have the right idea, instead of buying things from sites I buy through quidco and get money back, is that correct?

Yep, you've got it!! Don't know where I read it though, but make sure you clear your cookies BEFORE ordering anything through Quidco. Apparently, this makes sure that the system can trace any purchases made to your pc and ensure you get your monies okay.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:
  • I think I read that too on the quidco website. I'll definately remember to do it if there's money involved! :D

  • Things are slowly getting better, just got a quote for my car insurance which is up for renewal next month for £19 a month, I'm currently paying £41, so that's a saving of £22. :D

  • Well that is fantastic news.

Have you done a list for March to prepare yourself for when you have money coming in and when you have to pay things. I find it helps so much to have things written down and also the state of my account so I could see in the early days how much I would need to borrow to get by or how overdrawn I would be each month. Now after a couple of months I am paying debts off in huge chunks (well huge to me). I have managed to continuously stay within my overdraft. (I choose to use all of my overdraft and use that money to pay debts. As the debts cost me more than the overdraft) and as I clear the debts I can slowly reduce the overdraft I have.
  • That's a good idea, thanks for the tip. Hopefully my SOA for next month will look at better! :T

  • I am glad to see that you have already made some changes. The £22 saving on your insurance is wonderful, you can now put that towards debt or take £22 less per month on your payday loan. Is I said before all these little savings all add up over the month. Looking good.
    Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
😁Debt Free and you can do it too
  • Have a look at some other cash back sites as well because quidco charges you £5 per year (from your earnings) so if the cash back isn't that much, this fee can really eat into it. Also check topcashback.co.uk and cashbackkings.com - as before, make sure you clear the cookies. Check the cash back rates on all 3 sites as they do vary from site to site.

Thanks slummymummy, have just looked on both these sites (have only ever used quidco) and there are some retailers on there which aren't on quidco. Brilliant!:T
