finc wrote:Hi I don't know much about the different Maclarens but Mothercare have this one for £48.99 and free delivery. I had a Maclaren for my daughter and it was reliable and fairly sturdy.
I've got a Quinny Zapp for my son which I think is fab!! There's no shopping basket but I bought one in Morrisons for 79p which fits fine and can be left on when folded. It also folds down very small and can fit in the footwell of most cars. It's also super easy to push which is really important to me as I have a problem with my back and pelvis so I find some hard to push, especially when they've got a heavy child in them! :grinheart
i too have the quinny and find it amazingly easy to push and the 3rd wheel makes it really easy to manovue. it also looks kinda space agey.:A Boots Tart :A0 -

i've been watching the xt's on ebay for a few days now and they always shoot up to around £100 including delivery in the last few minutes of the auction, so today i decided to buy a new one. i have the citisport but my baby was too big for it at 4 months really. now he's 6 months he's ever so cramped in it and it's a real struggle to use the harness, plus he struggles and often gets stuck under the bumper bar before i've managed to harness him in, and all the cheap footmuffs are too big. maybe it would suit a smaller, slimmer baby. it was fantastic for taking away to london, you can just carry it down stairs in tube stations etc. and it's really light. the handle height is quite good too, my husband is tall. it's very easy to push.
i want an XT because they have no bumper, more seat area for the chubbier baby, adjustable footrest, sun visor, etc. and it seems that everyone buys one eventually lol! also the citisport is chunky so it's hard to attatch toys, bars, mobiles etc. to the frame.
there's a mothercare 10% code somewhere on here, from an email, valid for a few more days. you can only use one code at a time, so i couldn't get free postage but never mind. they have the 2004 storm grey model (which still sells high on ebay although it could have been used for a year or so) on sale for £120 with free delivery, or you can pay a fiver for delivery and choose the 10% discount using the code. i haven't found them any cheaper elsewhere so that's £113 delivered. i'm looking for a cheap footmuff now :-)52% tight0
