Options
Hi I would appreciate any help from anyone who has recently been awarded an adjudicator from the FOS for a PPI claim. I put in an application to the FOS in March 2008 but i haven't had been moved to an adjudicator yet. They have all the paperwork from the bank (who rejected my claim) and from me but still no luck. i have tried calling but i get different answers from different employees.

Thanks if you can help:money:

    Hi there

I have just posted on the reclaiming thread as well but not to worry.

I would email or ring them now and again, these vary as unfortunately this year its been in its highest yet with these complaints.

My first one had taken 14 months, and this recent one, it was submitted in June 2008 and just resolved now, but due to cirumstances had worsened as my hubby lost his job before xmas, I'm a full time carer for my son with special needs and also home educating my son at this time being, and with other personal cirumstances they moved this onto fast tracking with requesting this.

If you feel your in a situation and struggling financially and maybe in arrears etc, let the FOS know, they may be able to consider moving this on for you a little quicker.

Like I said though mine was not fast tracked until Jan 2009 this year.
Yet I have heard that the FOS have taken on new adjudicators, it seems that many are hearing from them the last few weeks with success, so hopefully everyones are due to be moved on soon.

In one of the threads, I was reading that someone's case had been waiting a year, this was then moved on and within 2 weeks it was resolved.

Good luck hope you hear some good news soon with a good outcome.;)

    Hi

    For those of you who are still waiting with the FOS, i thought i would just give a quick up date with the calls that i have made;

Feb 09 they said they were still working on Jan 08 cases (mine March 08) and called again today i was told that the FOS were trying a new tactic. They have put together a group of PPI complaints, sold by the same person on the same day and are sending them as a pack. Lloyds still haven't responded to their pack so we will see what what will happen. I think the plan is for the FOS to get through as many cases as quickly as possible.

If it is not sucessful, i'm not sure what will happen as i still haven't been passed on to an ajudicator.

    Hi there

My OH put in a claim to FOS in Jan 2008, and he was finally allocated to an adjudicator in March 2009 - average wait seems 14 months. He did get letters/emails periodically telling him his claim was awaiting allocation, then heard nothing for months, until early March.

The good news was that the adjudicator agrees with OH complaint and gave MBNA until today to either pay up or case goes to FOS for final decision (and the adjudicator wants loads more information from them including their sales "patter" and all marketing stuff.

Hopefully £3.5k will be on its way soon.

Mine is also from March 2008 (welcome finance) and when I called earlier the FOS said they're still working from January.

This new tactic sounds a bit strange but hey if it works then that's great...

    Hi

My cmplaints went to FOS in July and August. The July one was for Ocean Finance and the August one was for Loans.co.uk I got letter to say the I now had adjudicator on the loans.co one.... not sure how that came about would have thought the ocean one would have gone to adjudicator first. Not I that I am complaining just glad that one is finally moving on.

Also on the success and failure discussion page some-one only sent claim to FOS in Feb 09 and already been adjudicated.... It is really confusing how the FOS is working things out...
I have 2 PPI claims all being dealt with by FOS could do with a win. I also have 1 PPI claim with FSCS because company gone bankrupt.
I have claim for bank charges on-hold for 3year

    Good-luck all
