not sure if i posted this the right thread..
but i recently advertised to sell a car part on a motor forum to which i got a request to buy from me but ship to Hawaii and buyer was willing to pay extra for shipping, which is fair enough!
However i then gave him a price to ship there and he agreed but then paid me an extra 30 dollars and said pls send expressed shipping and keep any change!!
i checked my paypal and i have been paid the total amount plus the extra... but what i am concerned about is why would someone pay an extra 30 dollars!!
also what can happen if he states he has not received it or says its damaged when he got it, etc, etc!!
i do not want to pay customs so will send as a gift but insure up to £200...will i be ok doin this?

Sending as a gift is fraud, so strictly speaking no, it's not ok.
Sending 'extra' money can be a sign of advance fee fraud. (google it)
Without knowing how much money is on the line here, it's hard to know for sure if this is a likely scam.My TV is broken!
