It should do, unless Experian are also reporting many late payments on it. But the number of credit searches also affects things and can lead to being accepted with a low limit.0

I think you better off apply Nationwide Current account. I don't think any reason they will refuse you. (for my experience, which I tested before) I use the Nationwide debit card to withdraw cash from ATM, and use the Nationwide credit card at the SAME day in Prague and El Savado. Both of the transactions turned out the debit card got a better rate of exchange. So now I only use my debit card to withdraw money when I am abroad and hardly use their credit card anymore.0

I applied for a nationwide flexiaccount and they could only offer me a cash card and not a debit card. as with my accounts i have £5000 in halifax and £4000 in our joint account with hsbc dont have any debts whatsoever0

oh...were you opening that account in a branch? talk to the branch manager with your other bank statements to show them the balance you have with other banks...if they don't give you a debit card...just tell them to forget it...a cash card?! useless....their interest rate is not the best one...0 -
