Lurleene, thats great news about OH, am sure the success is extremley well deserved.

As for mistresses, i watched it last week, even if i did spend the whole time shaking my head and saying what a load of rubbish it is!!

Think i am going to abandon what is left of my list for tonight and do whatever i want instead. Have spent most of today working when i am not at work nor paid too, not quite sure how it happened but needs must i suppose and when difficulties arise that's when i am most needed.

So will put off today what i can do tomorrow!!

    Evening everyone!

Not a very long list for today, but every little helps hey?!

    Today I have -

    - Done one load of laundry, quick wash at 30
    - Dried clothes round house
    - Had storecupboard/freezer meals
    - Did monthly freezer shop in Fultons, came in well below budget
    - Two YouGov surveys - adjusted sig
    - Found some road change and put in pot
    - Put loose change in sealed pot
    - Received free sunflower seeds
    - Sent off for free lettuce, salad onion and chive seeds (found of freebie board)

I'm not giving anything up for lent this year as on Jan 1st I pledged not to buy any books, shower gel, bath foam or body butter for 100 days (end date April 10th). As I've resolutely stuck to the task I'm not giving up anything else ;)
    Sealed Pot #418 ('09 £414.12) ('10 £550.90) ('11 £440.60)

    Evening all,

Lurleene, thats great news about OH. Hugs to those who need them.

    My dfw things for today:
    • Boots –
    ROC MICRODERM SOMETHING (£8.50)
    no 7 p&p hand cream (£10)
    ROC Sponges x 3 (£1.70 each)
Gillette Series shave foam (said £1.44 on shelf price but got charged £2.63)
2 x tube of mini eggs (buy 2 for 89p)
2 x Time Delay Gradual tan moisturiser (£5.86)
    Frizz Ease serum (£1.95)
    Friss Ease mini hairspray (£0.44)

Spent £9.28 total after all my vouchers less £2.63 as I wasn't prepared to pay that for new packaging for Gillette shaving foam (I went back and asked for price check) so just deducted 8 points and got £2.63 back but I got to keep 150 points. So I spent £6.65 for everything and got £1.58 back in points. :T
    • Showed colleague at work my hairspray and serum and she said she had a voucher which she hadn’t used. I offered her my hairspray and I’d get another so she gave me her vouchers and 44p
    • Boots (after work) got Frizz Ease serum (free after voucher – no hairsprays left which I wasn’t bothered about anyway) and Time Delay Gradual tan moisturiser for 86p after voucher
    • Got free Sun paper with free Sun coupon
    • Co-op - Collected 4 free lightbulbs (coupon in todays Sun) and coupon my mum gave me for hers
    • Co-op – got reduced dip for 20p
    • Finally received £10 M&S gift voucher from Pigsback :D
    • Got a reply by e-mail about a bus complain (driver not stopping despite seeing me)
    • Received £4 in vouchers for train for complaint I made for DH :A (couldn’t get train as it was cancelled and he had a ticket)
    • Charged phone at work
    • £2 coin into sisters wedding cash present
    Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
    Boots points: £0.28
    Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
    Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)
    Rpoints:redeemed 28925 points)Cashbag:£8.91(£20)
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY MSE!!! :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j

I didn't know this site had been going for 6 years! I reckon my debt started to accumulate around 4 years ago, so I wonder if I had of found this site when it started, or even when my debt started to accumulate, that I would have been scared off the cards and loan and would now be debt free? Hmmm?

Other half and I went to look at the flat we had booked to view last night but the estate agent didn't turn up! We got there 10mins early, waited 15mins after they were suppose to be there and went past their office (though it turns out there is a different one for lettings and also the landline number is only for sales and the lettings one we only knew the 0845 number at the time, which I rung from work when booking) but I wasn't calling an 0845 number from my mobile! Rung them today but the man I need to speak to wasn't there so he will be getting a phone call from me in the morning! Also turns out the flat went last week and they did the papers yesterday! In one breath they said oh I am sorry, like they forgot, then they said they tried to ring but couldn't get through which is rubbish coz they didn't leave a message and they could have rung again!
Going to see 2 flats on Sat, both with different agents! VERY excited! :D:D

    My things for today:
    Free scratch - 10p
Signed up to and put 3 books on Green Metropolis - quite a few people selling the same books so not sure they will go for a while!
    Surveys
    Looked for mystery shops
Got my payslip today and I am getting nearly £20 a month more than I thought. Was being paid weekly until this month and it must have worked out differently with tax and also it looked like to the student loans company I was getting paid more than I was so it was taken out when it was a 4 week month but not on a 5 (they did mothly wage divided by weeks so looked like I was getting paid more than I was) but no student loan deductions this month which means I shouldn't again till I earn more plus the tax code must have changed when I was being paid weekly so I am now getting more than I thought :D:D:D :j :j :j
Other half started a part time job today. Getting £12 an hour for 1 hour of cleaning the office every week night so a nice little earner for him so very proud. I know it's not my money but I wanted to say as am very pleased for him and proud of him doing some extra stuff.
    Put some books on Amazon
Look for things to sell and be ruthless!
Worked out what I have left to pay on my card. Just need to squeeze another £56 from my money then it's done - wohoo!

Lurleene - that's fantastic news! Hope he gets loads of offers!
Andan - you deserve a good break, I don't know how you get lists the size of yours done everyday!

  • Sorry, my post has come up twice! :rotfl:
