Hello All,
Got paid today ! :j So thought I'd sort out a few bills. Paid the gas bill and topped up electric (aiming for 25 this month on electric instead of 30...)
Then I:
- went to boots and got No7 foundation and mascara (using a 5 No7 voucher and extra 200points voucher from kiosk, so saved 7 AND got ANOTHER 5 No7 voucher
)
- Set a budget for how much I wanted to spend today, took money out of cash machine to pay for everything and STAYED IN BUDGET!!!:j
- Bought eggs instead of pre-made pancake mix to make pancakes for dinner tonight. Will use the rind of lemon from the lemon sauce to make lemon bread. Yummy!
- Made some HM cards for upcoming birthdays.
All in all, not a bad day!Debt at highest 01/01/2008- $79,385.32
Debt now 01/03/2009 - $63,194.72

Think that's it for me. On the Lent front, I'm going to give up chocolate. I've done it twice before for Lent and didn't cheat either time. It's gonna be tough but I need to shift a fair few pounds (lb not £) and am sure this will help.
Hugs to those that need them. Some fab lists on here today so thanks for the inspiration.

Ok so some of this stuff I do EVERY time anyway but thought I'd share. And if you know me and work with me, don't shop me to the boss please, I don't want firing!!
Today I have:
Charged my phone at work
Drank free water and tea and hot chocolate from the vending machine
"borrowed" a toilet roll
done all my personal budgeting and accounting (including internet) online at work
called a couple of people off of work phone to save mobile.
sent two things via the work post
I work for a HUGE company who can more than afford the tiny little dents I make - in fact i know people that do a lot worse. I once had a friend that did all her ebaying via work so she NEVER paid postage and made a mint off of unsuspecting ebayers.
So even though i might look naughty, come on, you know you've all been there!!End of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt
Today's total: £7,297.06

Hey everyone, OH has just this second had some good news. He is a musician ( for a hobby) and one of his tracks was released as a download at the end of last year. He has just heard that it has been picked to go on a freebie CD to be handed out in the goody bags at a huge dance music festival in the US! It will be massive exposure for him, and I'm very proud. :T Maybe he will become mega-rich and we will never have to worry about money again......highly unlikely, but one can dream!
My DFW small things today
1) Be nice to OH so he doesn't leave me for groupies when he is rich and famous.
2) LSD - £1 school jumper for B from charity shop (they are over £25 new!), Harry Hill DVD £2 and a recent novel for 50p from same shop.
3) Packed lunch at work.
4) HM stew for dinner with old veggies and value kidney beans.
5) Scratch x 10p
6) Swapped library books
7) Make pancakes with posh organic pancake mix that was in a Xmas hamper given to us by MIL.
Will have a quiet evening having a bath and watching Mistresses. Will have to suspend disbelief for an hour though. One of the main characters has a baby and a full-time job, but sneaks out of the house behind her husbands back to sh*g strangers in hotels all night. Hmmm.:cool:0
