When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today i will:
Hugs to nyone in need.
Hi to any new posters, and returning old posters:j , and a big wve to all the regulars :hello: , catch up with you all later.

It is not lent yet, it is pancake day (shrove Tuesday)! Lent is after today I think (not being an expert on religious matters). Pancake day I think originated from the need to use up supplies before the start of the fasting for Lent. Pancakes are MS!
So far today I have:
HM breakfast
Checked online banking - payday tomorrow!
Put a batch of lemon curd cookie dough to chill in fridge so that I can bake it tonight when the oven is on anyway.
Put a load of washing on at 30 degrees.
Later I will:
Do animals and open up greenhouse (must get on and do that in a minute)
Peg washing out on the line in the garden
Ring EDF about huge gas bill; will it be covered from direct debits or do they want me to pay the extra?
Do packed lunch for work
Go to work
Renew family railcard on the way to work
Charge work phone at work (fair enough I think)
Supper from stores
Bake the cookies!
Oh and make some pancakes I guess!
Have a good day everyone x0 -

Morning all!
SM - I'll take one of those hugs? Feeling carp still today but at least I feel a bit better than yesterday.
Fay - Just googled it - lent starts tomorrow. Shall have to put my thinking cap on as to what to give up.
Won't be doing much today as feeling bit dodgy. Not eaten for two days apart from slice of toast last night. Oh well, good for the weight loss I suppose!
So here's Tuesdays list for me:
* Sparkle dimly
* Washing at 30'c
* Decide whether to go to work
* storecupboard tea for OH - doubt I'll fancy it
Thats it. Not too good! Must do better :rotfl:
