Hi wazza, I've moved your thread to the Parking sub-board

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -

The OP should appeal on the grounds that there badge was there just not visable and be grateful the company is trying to stop the abuse of these important spaces.
Yeah 'fines' right. There should definitely be 'fines' for people posting here in ignorance of the overall picture!
Maybe we could also have 'fines' for certain Companies failing to adhere to the law? Y'know, like paying their VAT, registering properly, not harassing people with false threats. - Oh - oops - just realised we do have such fines - just don't get used often enough.
Maybe we should 'fine' retailers who use scamming outfits to use their car parks rather than being bothered to monitor them themselves. always a simple solution to private parking abuse - don't serve them!
Nope, that would lose money? No it wouldn't cos retailers are already losing a fortune for !!!!ing off so many people who have been abused via their parking facilities.0 -
            Absolutely, Neil B!
In relation to parking in disabled bays in a private car-park; I don't care if someone has a blue badge or not. Many people have them when they shouldn't and many people who should have them don't! Is this moral standing simply about "blue badges", or is it about allowing car parking spaces for people who genuinely need them? I agree with the latter - and I think that everyone should be of that attitude.
Wazza's sister obviously has a genuine reason to use a car parking bay allocated especially for someone with a disability. Private Parking Companies do not care about providing spaces for her or anyone else with disabilities. If they cared they would listen to the circumstances of this situation and drop the charge. Otherwise they are saying that they only allow disabled bays for people who display a badge, regardless of whether they have a disability (and what about the elderley and frail?).
The parking rules of Private Parking Companies are only a way of tricking the unsuspecting public out of money! They only care about making money! When dreams take flight, follow them... :A
...but make sure you have thoroughly researched the price of flights before doing so!!! :cool:0 -

Well said Neil, the ignorance and stupidity of people like Broken Hearted never ceases to amaze me. Still I suppose if he/she gets one of these invoices then he/she can pay it with glee.
These scams are no better than the sort of thing you see on The Real Hustle which at least is trying to be informative.
In these threads I would listen to Sarahg1969 in all cases. She speaks the truth."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".
"The Centuries that divide me shall be undone."
"A dream? Really, Doctor. You'll be consulting the entrails of a sheep next. "0
