The 777-300 is still quite a sizeable plane! Not up to A380 standards but not too great a step down! And Emirates does still keep a three-tier service on them too.0 -
My friend's parents live in Dubai and she just flys on the 777 which she says is perfectly fine. I would just fly from Birmingham IMO0

Yep...it's not like you're never going to get another chance to fly on an A380....unlike the Concorde scenario above.0 -

No option for 1st from birmingham, when I ve flown from there, weve always had to fly business, which is better than most airlines first anyway,as the planes operating from here had no first class, certainly not in 2007/early 08!0 -

No, they're just a 2 class service.
And it's different between flights. The afternoon flight out of Birmingham is a newer Boeing and the cheaper evening flight is an older Airbus. We did the evening flight once in Business and it was nothing special....not even a lie flat seat. The chauffeur drive was a nice touch though.
Last time we tried Lufthansa and it was brilliant.0 -
I would. Emirates 777 seats are extremely skinny in economy - they squeeze an extra seat in width wise than most airlines. It's nice to try something new and exciting as well!
Some people don't get as excited as flying, so it's up to you?0 -

Interesting point, the A380 main cabin is over 2 foot wider than the 777, but they have the same number of seats across, so I've been told that makes the A380 roomier width wise. (Don't think the actual seats are wider but shoulder room etc is)
Guess some people would for the novelty factor and some wouldn't. Upto the OP if they think the cost implications are worth it0
