    Hey

Just wondered if there was a sat nav out there that warned you about roads with speed bumps. I haven't seen any so far, but it just occured to me that that would be a handy thing!

    Does anyone know of any?

    Thanks

Just wondered why you wanted to know where speed bumps are?

So if you're concerning about hitting a speed hump at speed, does that mean you want to speed?

No. At the speed limit they can ocassionally do a fair bit of damage to cars if you haven't noticed them (this can be quite easy at night, in an unfamiliar place - esp if it's a fairly isolated traffic calming measure, or the first in a series, etc). What's worse is that the natural reaction is to slam on the brakes when you hit them which can cause more damage and can potentially be a safety risk.
Also, people with sports cars (lowered suspension) or who just don't like them will go out of their way to avoid them.

Probably because they prematurely age the suspension, tyres, engine mounts and transmission mounts on your car.

    I hate the damn things.

I doubt if any manufacturere would be able to put this info in. It may be worht mentioning on https://www.pocketgpsworld.co.uk as they have lots of user generated POI's to download. If enough people were prepared to record the locations a database could be built up but I'm not sure people would want to bother.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die
