  • Gordon Brown's mad gambling spree continues...
  • I'm sick of this. "Private Property" doesn't mean that any more. It means "Private when we're winning, public when we're losing."

Remember this, ladies and gentlemen, the next time your bank charge you £12 for going overdrawn for a day.
My Debt Free Diary I owe:

  • Now where did i leave my passport...
  • I'll tell you what - if me and my family end up liable for the gambling debts of this apparently untouchable super-class of privileged, !!!!less clowns then I'll be one of the ones marching in the street.

And let's not have any of this neo-pragmatic "Oooh civilization will come to an end if
we don't bail the banks out - we can't let them fail".

No it f*cking won't, and yes we f*cking can.

No blame attached to borrowers then? It's all the lenders' fault!

I am usually pretty rational on this subject and I think that this action may actually make a difference instead of all the insignificant headline catching measures that the government have been dishing out recently. It is a HUGE move but I think we need a huge move to make an significant difference.

That being said I am astounded that such a massive bunch of wreckless c!!!s have been in charge of the UKs banks over the past decade. I would personally suggest the systematic sacking of each and every member of the management of each and every bank that is implicated in this mess once the economy has recovered. Clear out the dross. They do not deserve the privilages that come with the roles they have been performing so very badly. If I f!!!!d up in my job in the way in which they have I would have been unemployed quicker than you can say (b)w!nker.

I find it hard to say '(b)w!nker' slowly, let alone at any speed.

If the lenders had not made irresponsible levels of money available then the borrowers would not have had the oppertunity to borrow irresponsible levels of money in the first place. The man on the street does not have a degree in economics which is why we put trust in those who are supposedly financial professionals. What you are suggesting is like going to the doctors and being prescribed an incorrect drug that had a very negative affect on the patient and then blaming the patient because they seeked profesional advice in the first place.

Not really. It's more like a drunk blaming the pub landlord.
