Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Does the same apply with Tiscali - they say you need a BT landline to use it though the Post Office think it should still work.

Is is generally dependant on whether you use an 'old fashioned' landline versus a cable one?

the same thing applies to anyone who asks for a BT based line... which is basically any ISP via telewest, ntl, and the one in hull (kingstonia(??), keroo or something)... BT based lines include BT, TalkTalk, Post Office, and I think there are 2 others but cannot think of them off by hand
  • Hi

Am just looking into this. I asked Homephone if I could still get BT broadband with their telephone package and they said it 'would be affected'. What does this mean?

i believe this means, if you switch line rental's, it would somehow remove the broadband markers from your line, so you would have to get it re-activated, which would mean another 1-yr contract with BT, if your already outside your initial period, or you go somewhere else, and start again
