    Great Idea

For pudding how about Baklava and for a treat during the film, what about Turkish Delight, which is called Greek Delight in the Greek side of Cyprus. For the film Clash of the Titans both the old and new versions are good.

I think it's called Yeroskipou Delight as that's where it's made in Paphos.
  • thank you all very much for taking the time to reply, we had a lovely dinner, we had

starters - grilled halloumi with houmous and bread sticks

    main - musakka

pudding - fresh fruit salad with greek yogurt

I printed the Greek flag and laminated and used these as our place mats, and I wrote name places in the Greek alphabet.

After dinner we watched Disney's Hercules whilst eating greek (turkish) delight.

Now to plan for an amerian themed dinner

From tomorrow my local Lidl is doing American food specials, like chicken and prawn dippers, hamburger sauces, cookies, muffin mixes, desserts, american style napkins and Jim Beam for the grown ups!
