Hi i'm trying to connect the ps3 to my samsung lcd tv via a hdmi cable.
When the option came to switch to hdmi I clicked yes, then i changed the tv channel to the hdmi channel. But the screen goes blank..
Any ideas what i need to do to connect?

Is it a new or used PS3?
If used it may be set to 1080P which your screen cant display
You may have the wrong hdmi channel selected?
You may need to use the free cable to reset to default DISPLAY settings:idea:0 -
Change the tv input to HDMI before turning on the ps3 - should come up ok. It's what I have to do seeing as I've got my sky+ box connected via Scart leads - don't know if there's an easier way to do it really, sorry.Where there's a will, there's a way to get something cheaper from somewhere else!!

Hi the ps3 is used but the previous owner never used the hdmi cable.
how do i reset it to default display setting?0 -
if you need to reset the output resolution to the default, hold down the power button (while the console is in standby) until it beeps a couple of times. it will then set the output to 576i.0
