    Hi all! Logged on too to wish you all a happy anniversary. Any advice on where to put money soon to be freed-up from fixed rate bonds? I haven't a clue.

    Yes, it was a vile time. However had a cheque from FSCS last week for fixed rate bond - 7.05% paid gross so made it seem worthwhile. I must say that the FSCS overall handling of the affair was great given the volumes involved.

    I'm in the same position fixed term just finished with Kaput Thingy at 7.15% (How lucky was that, that ING kept their rates.)

    Thinking of the Post Office at 4% for a year.
