The Arms are not bad but not for me -too much navigating around at least on iva one thread and done = easy

I totally agree, Steve. On the IVA thread you felt you had a base, surrounded by friendly people. I can't be doing with the Arms either. I do miss the IVA. Now when I turn on my computer, it's emails, Facebook, BBC website, Ebay and that's about it.

Nice to hear from you again. Hope all is well. Do you feel happier now you've got the McBroon rant off your chest!?

wonder what good old harrowing is up to these days-went to Harrow back in January seems an ok kind of place

"Ok" is an apt word...best thing is 40 mins tube to central London where all the money [strike]is [/strike]used to be.:D :D

You know what - some of the IVA is TOO saucy....never thought harrowing/double entendre/alfresco could say that, could you? Think these youngsters are "doing it" swinging from the chandeliers...or saying they are.

one last thing to cheer us all up we have our very good PM McBroon to thank for saving us all :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: roll on May 2010 when we can throw him out "you need hands" McBroon you have destroyed a once great nation .

ST...problems date back to 1999 when a bill passed in the US allowed "normal" retail banks to start speculative investments in the global market...the misfiring of those investments is trigger of the recessions around the world. Interestingly the bill was repealing an act passed just after the great depression which supressed this kind of speculative nonsense.

However it's far easier not to think too hard and to blame one person....;) I'm sure the conservatives would have applied far greater regulation on the activities of commercial banks

Ok yes it is not Browns fault as you say deregulation, speculation etc however what really gets to me is that Brown was Chancellor during this period and he will not admit to this. He Brown relaxed the regualtions which the BOE had and this encoursaged more easy finance and specualtion here in UK -so he has to accept some of the failings and accept some faults but the arrogant fossil will not --poor old Tony Blair had not idea what Brown was up to and needed more control over him tbh i liked Tony the Tory.:rotfl:

yes the Tories would have had more control on Banks but also we not have received our Icesave money if they had being in power thats the risk.

TBH a Tory -Libdem coalition would be a good one as i like vince cable whowever it be a mighty hard task .
