My 8 year old daughter has just had to fo a project on Tudors (not the sexy bbc adaptation thank gawd). They are meant to use their own words. She did OK but I had to point out that the expression "they rounded the day off" is not one that I've ever heard her use. Change it to "ended" sweetie!:D0

:rotfl: :T He DID also do that one but you need to look on the top shelf of your library. It's a rite riveting read Ode to the Seagull
He waxes rhapsodic for a while about the lightness of the bird and then acknowledges that the story doesn't end there -- that the seagull is also a greedy, voracious creature. What amazes him is how that rude hunger can become lightness.
My only criticism with a name like Pablo he should have stuck to donkeys.

In retrospect I think as I kid I used to take the expression "put in your own words" far too literally.....there are some simple sentences that trying to reword just makes it look stupid and contrived!0 -

Quick true story.....a friend of my sister has a little boy training for confirmation. When he asked to choose a confirmaton name from the bible he chose God! He was genuinely not being cheeky - his parents had always told him to aim high!I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory.
