I got a new kitchen about three years ago. When I get a phone call:

"Hello sir your post code has been selected to make most of our kitchen offer."

"I got a new kitchen 3 years ago"

    "Sorry for wasting your time"

The end you may think. No chance. I then insist on telling them every detail of my new kitchen. Drives them mad. Record to date is 11 minutes before they cut me off. :D

BT phoned me to try to lure me back to their call-plan. I said I don't use the phone much. He seemed stumped and said bye - I was shocked.

Suppose I could use that strategy more:-

    1) q. Would you like a sunlounge? a. I'm allergic to sunshine
    2) q. would you like a new mobile? a. I never go out (see 1)
    3) q. would you like a new car? a. Private transport is no good forthe environment.

A friend of mine is fed up of an electrical retailer trying to sell him extended warranties. When they try to make out it's much better value, he just says "I've got more money than I know what to do with, this is the only way I can get through it all!
