I've also had one of these today :(

Ebay appear unable to tell me what items werte "apparently" listed for sale...

I tried to snipe an item yesterday & today they're telling me ive nearly been hacked.

I think its b**locks quite frankly.... I use goofbay to snipe their servers are US based, i reckon they've just flagged us because the IP address's dont match...

    I'm not quitting sniping tho!

I just got one of the account reset mails from ebay. I've used Goofbay a couple of times over the past few days. My guess is that they're spotting bids from snipe sites (e.g. by IP address) and resetting your ebay account. That way the only conclusion you are likely to draw is that the snipe site has been compromised so you stop using it.

    Just a though.....

This actually happened to me today also and suprise suprise I was using the goofbay sniper over the weekend. It also happened to me once before and thinking back that is when I was using the sniper also. I actually caught it before ebay caught on though the last time I was online and saw an e-mail come through to my hotmail saying request to change your ebay password so I went to ebay and tried to log on it wouldn't let me. Searched my username and loads of weird items had been added that I was supposedly selling. I went to ebay live help and they sorted it all out. I won't be using the sniper tool again I have been racking my brain for ages how they did it - now I know :D

so, what exactly should we do?

I have changed email, ebay and paypal address just in case.

Is the conclusion that eBay are messing us about, or somebody has actually managed to get into our ebay accounts via sniping website?

I got the 'MC003 A26 TKO NOTICE #UK: Restored Account' notice from ebay today as well. I also was using justsnipe recently. Sounds like somethings gone awry with justsnipe. I won't be using it again

I have the answer I think. Apparently, due to tightened security, Ebay reads third party snipes as 'unauthorized use' and locks your account. Don't know if it's a glitch or intentional policy, though...
Never mash cheese: it bends the fork.

Wonder if it is Ebay trying to scare people off sniping sites with these messages...

Yep,..........judging by the link in my post above - it seems so.:(

At first i thought it was a problem only with Justsnipe. But now that people who use Goofbay are having the same problem - it's seems very dodgy.
