if you make things out of rice in fabric bags (such as heat bags, draught excluders etc) you may as well just feed the mice with it, cos they will soon get back into it and eat it anyway!!

umm....possibly not if you wash rice in bleach solution first and maybe crush a bit of mothball into the mix...mice hate mothballs!!

I found some fossilised brown rice about a year ago so filled empty bottles with it to make shakers for my DD. She still loves them! I added a few red lentils too to make them pretty. Not sure I would do that if there were mouse droppings in it tho...

Probably best if you don't mention the mice though. :whistle:

Check with the council first ours has banned rice being thrown because of the pidgeon problem
