  • I have used them a few times before with no problems and most of the employees at my company do too, I have just been unlucky this time i think and maybe they have some new employee who is less than honest, it has completely put me off using them again though and I have learned by my error!!
  • i remember taking my van to ATS for a full set of tyres, came to collect van early to find the fitters were enjoying a varied selection of my c.ds on my stereo in the van ( i did fit a good sound system to it though!) c.ds were everywhere all in wrong cases.wasnt very happy with them, but what could i do.
i told my boss about this and he wrote a letter to thier head office. we started using another tyre company after this.

  • do you think a mechanic would really want a pair of female glasses/risk loosing his job over it?

do you know how much they get paid, especially the apprentices?

if he gets £20 for them on ebay then thats a lot of money to an apprentice on £80 a week.

Probably went home to the wife "got you a lovely pair of [x brand] sunglasses darling". Probably with a bunch of flowers taken out of the graveyard on the way home.

  • I think you may have to chalk this one up to experience, but don't use that garage again. Happened to me in the past. It was only an A-Z book, so not worth making a fuss about, but I took my business elsewhere.

I would have thought that they have a little grubby sign hidden somewhere saying that anything left in your vehicle is at the owners risk to cover themselves.
I usually remove my CDs and buggy but nothing else of value I doubt they'd want to steal my son's carseat.
I leave my sunnies which are designer but more fool them if they nick them coz they are prescription so they'd be feeling very dizzy if they wore them!
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

  • If something goes missing from your car whilst at a garage ALWAYS report it to the garage now matter how small....please dont just take your custom elsewhere. Give the garage a chance to sort the prob out, it could be that a member of staff is under suspicion of stealing and your complaint could be the last piece in the jigsaw, or it could have genuinely been a mistake (like they fell out of the door whilst working on the car).

If after your complaint you are still not happy then go ahead and take your business elsewhere but there is nothing worse than not saying anything and then getting annoyed when the garage send you marketing stuff because they have no idea why you haven't come back for more work/mot's.
Will not spend more money:naughty:, but will spend more time looking for that great bargain!
