My monitor has altered its resolution - what should it be?

True but not always the whole story.…If you don't use the native screen resolution of an LCD monitor the picture quality reduces...
My laptop LCD screen has a native resolution of 1920 x 1200.
At that setting everything is too small to see properly even with extra large fonts etc. I rarely use that setting.
I usually use it set at 1280 x 800 which is ideal for most applications.
I change it to 800 x 600 occasionally to play Hearts and a few other things that are too small even at 1280 x 800.0
