    Sky now install lines -currenty for free instead of BT's £130 so it makes moving from cable a better priced option

    I thought you had to have a BT line in place to get Sky?-it's a contractual requirement to have the box connected to it for the first 12 months.

    My brother has Sky TV, and no land line of any description, never had any problems.
    Move along, nothing to see.

    can't one select to not be wireless with just about any ISP ? :confused::confused: I'm not wireless, have never been and see no need to be :confused::confused:

    You don't need to select non-wireless. You just set up the wireless router (which you have to do so using ethernet anyway) and either choose to connect via ethernet, or additionally via wireless. If it comes already wireless enabled, you can just disable it in the router interface.
    This is convenient because it gives you the option of going wireless at a later date (e.g. if you currently have a PC, but later buy a laptop).
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
