Evening everyone
Oddjob - as the others have said, it's never too late to learn...
Mudders - glad you're feeling better this evening. And I keep forgetting to mention - but I will now - how exciting about the caravan!
Emily - hope you start feeling more yourself again. Do you think it was the move that has got you out of sorts?
Dusty -very sad about Ivan Cameron
Lil-me - thanks for the idea of splitting the utility bills - I'll seriously contemplate broaching that. Did the readings tonight and DiL must have been out ALL day. Hardly anything used..
Likklegibbon - good news about your Dad!
Carol - positive 'you get the flat' vibes heading your way.
Kazw - I used to get that all the time (before I moved the bird feeders to another part of the garden). When the back windows were too clean, the trees at the bottom of the garden reflected in them making the birds think there was woodland there. I found that putting up a couple of those stained glass decoration thingies on the window helped them realise that it really was a window. In fact, I think I have a couple of bird shaped ones knocking around somewhere - I'll be more than happy to declutter them your way. If you want them, PM me your address and I'll get them in the post..
Jayjay - good interview vibes for OH for Friday
Dominosue - yes, gathering all similar things and putting them in a proper storage place is decluttering in my book.
.
Happy birthday Ashia
Oooh -and the 100 things - I've just emptied the hole punch - there must have been about 200 'holes' in there
But that's probably all the flying I'll achieve this evening. I've had another brain aching day. Three of us several times sat there scratching our heads and saying
'Well I think it should do that...but should it? Shouldn't it? Maybe it should do THAT? What do the requirements say? Oh, they don't...'
and other such deep, fundamental questions like
'why does the computer tell me to f*** off when I try to do that?'
I will, however, boil the chicken bones from Sunday for chicken soup for dinner tonight. And I'll put the BM on...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I've also done a million and one other things including 3 loads of washing, HHI, a trip to Argos, a trip to the tip and taken DD to get new shoes.
I am now shattered. Haven't had chance to catch up yet so hope everyone is well. Just going to go and grab a shower and then collapse in front of the tv for the evening.0 -
Quick, and slightly off topic buildings insurance question. I've had a quick look at the insurance board here but there's too many posts to get a quick answer.
Upstairs has just knocked on the door. He's the freeholder, I'm leasehold to his freehold. Buildings insurance covers both properties (one large detached house divided in two separate dwellings) the premium has gone up ridiculously. I've said I'll do some scouting round for cheaper quotes for him.
Anyone offer any suggestions as to who to approach? Seems the online comparison engines don't cater for our situation.
Have started to strip the chicken carcass ready to boil the bones but then the doorbell rang...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Soappie
I would think you need a special insurance quote, why not take the phone number off the comparison sites and ring them and ask for specilist help / quote.
I would love the bird glass decoration thingies if you want to declutter them, pm me your address so I can send you postage money. Thank you.
