Rosepink great story but why did you have a hard hat handy?????

I have volunteered the last four summers on a building site - it's actually where I met DH. We are both Jehovah's Witnesses and one of our Assembly Halls (one of our places for worship - we have Kingdom Halls which are for local congregations and are in most towns, and Assembly Halls which are for larger gatherings) was being renovated, so we went to help out. I was on first aid and general tidying/cleaning up. All the work was done by volunteers and the building work was paid for by voluntary donations. My hard hat is bright pink! All the work is done now and it looks grrrrrrreat!

ETA: DH has commented on my hard work in the kitchen, he is very pleased! Yay! He said: "wow, you can see hte hob again!" He is cooking mince stirfry now. Has this ever been done before? I've never heard of a mince stirfry! Smells good tho!

smiler don't worry you're not alone, my DP has washed up twice since we met and that first was because I was unable to and he was out of plates, the second time was in the caravan.....he said he was feeling unwell. We now have a dishwasher but he doesn't even put his own stuff in there usually, occasionally he does. As far as housework goes, see everything you do as an accomplishment and not think about what you don't get done is a good start.

Mudbath it's usually 10 or 11 stone on top bunks, so probably got ages for yours yet, we have DS2 used to being on the bottom bunk straight away as he's the biggest but it's also the length for him, he's 147cm now (he's 8) which is about 4ft 8or 9 inches and the beds 175cm long which is about 5ft 8 inches, I think......I just know it's something we'll need to be prepared to change for.

ASSIGNMENT COMPLETE!!! That's my first TMA done and on time, just! Pleased with it and only concern now is it seemed so easy have I got it right :o Looking forward to the next section of the science one which is Earth and Space, Journey to the Centre of the Earth part of it's called :D because I got a little bored of the doom and gloom of global warming.....Oh I need to catch up on the reading for the Inclusive Ed course but actually enjoy reading that so far so not bad. So pleased I changed from Maths.

I've managed todays list :D so can I have todays star please toots. I sorted out loos for DP this weekend, took DS2 to asthma clinic and he's back on inhalers now which is a shame but needs doing I think. I've got a mountain of laundry to catch up on.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Toots -
    Monday - Done
    Tuesday - Done

Have baked bread, one load in the WM, line dried, first for this year. (gosh this flying lark is easier if you don't have to work - or have kids at home!!)
Tonight we are going out for a meal for DD1's birthday so I don't have to cook.
OH is off work tomorrow as his car is going for repair, then he has an interview on Friday:j - so if any kind flyladies could send the vibes on Friday I would be very grateful.:D I got a text from him about it so don't know if it is temp or permanent but as hi current cotract ends if about 2 weeks anything would be brilliant.

Hugs to all especially those who need one (the rest of youwill just have to have one on account.

Great work with the assignments Pigpen, the Uni course will probably feel like a holiday after this.
  • Hi everyone - dipping in and out of levels so far this week but house is looking a LOT better than a couple of weeks ago. Seem to be doing bits that aren't on the list but they are working out OK.

Tell me someone - does it count as de-cluttering when you go out and buy a large plastic box so that you can put OH's TRACTOR magazines in !!!!

At least they are now all in the same place and not all over the house ....... but WHEN will he re-read them ??
