I tend to do that with my team and some of the younger people we work with (not generally managers), but not with the management team I work with..
For some reason (could it be that I work in IT) the management team I report into is all male. They're very impressed by my typing skills though - they only found out about them a couple of weeks ago, so I've done well to keep them under wraps for nearly 4 years!
Right... off to bed. DW and WM are both on, and I need to get up early and visit my brother before my hair appointment in the morning. My weekend will then consist of giving the house quick S&S, meal planning/food shopping, laundry and getting my bedroom ready for the new bed which is arriving between 7am  and 9am on Tuesday :j0 -

Jo thinking of you, double check with tax credits that a) it's right b) it doesn't mean they are reducing your weekly/monthly amounts instead
Triker ((hugs)) sounds like you could do with one! Are you going to have Fish and Chips? I've known us, well my Dad, to drive to Whitby just for Fish and Chips
pigpen I laughed so much when I seen that photo of Peaches, another reminder why I couldn't have a cat :rotfl:
Dusty, that's lovely that DS3 was a little model child this morning, it must make you wonder why they are so different when your OH is away
Funeral was packed, standing out of the room included, so sad and such a shame. Haddn't realised he'd took his life on his wife's birthday too, she was so upset, really hard seeing her like that. Anyway one of those things I suppose. Just been on phone to little Ms Mum, he's really poorly with the tummy bug bless him, loaned an ear and some friendly advice when it comes to dehydration etc, bless her she sounds really stressed. So far I've not started with it, fingers crossed I won't.
Thanks for the well dones, they are iCMA which are computer marked assignments like a little instant exam thing where you get a yes/no straight away (not something I'd done before) and TMA which are tutor marked assignments. Unfortunately one course in particular has LOADS of them!
I'm again chasing stuff up for DPs club, keeping quiet at present and listing everything I do for them, how much time I spendhave a plan on making him realise!! Thanks for your support, I feel like a right moaning minnie sometimes as it's trivial compared to what others are going through but it's hurt me realising where we are in his priorities at the minute. Just had a small bicker on the phone because he was on about him buying some other things they need, which will be about £100, they already owe us over £80.
Was having a nosey, as you do, about house prices locally after a conversation with neighbour (Mr keep up with Jones one) who was sure I was wrong about how much prices have dropped. Well I was wrong, the prices are lower than I thought, one round the corner 4 bed up for £159950 which I thought was up for £180k ish (it was bought for £210k 3 years ago).....crikey.
Right well I've read a little tonight, getting a plan together for what I want to accomplish this weekend.........list needed I thinkOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
greenbee, don't ignore it that is mean, either a no or a yes....he might just mean a drink
maybe call it a practise for getting out?
I thought it would be mean to ignore it too, so need to come up with some kind of reply. Preferably to send over the weekend... possibly late Sunday pm, as stuff sent outside working hours is generally more informal... ideally something non-committalI think I'd be better of practising on people I DON'T work with... on the basis that I don't want the ones I do work with to know quite how out of practice I am at having a life outside work!

well just tell him "thanks for the kind invitation but I am a bit busy with alterations to my house just now - can we take a rain check?" Then you have time to think about it and suss out the sitution at work - and if all is ok then you can take him up onhis offer.

Ok be a rebel and have a biccie as well!!! (((hugs)))
How well put Toots,,, and after 5 years (almost - 5 next month) of being 'single' I WOULD NOT go back to how things were...
Popped in - have been REALLY busy with a millstone round my neck but after a day of concerted effort it has been sorted - go me:T. It meant being totally focussed though. Friday errand was done early and in double quick time so apart from that and a visit to docs (re scan) and nurse - smear OUCH! that's Valli's effort for the day. Having said that I had appts at 10.50 and 11.30 so stayed at the docs and knitted between appointments! ***glow***
But the nurse had a student in AND IT STILL IS 'UNCOMFORTABLE'...
oh - WM x 3 pegged out and beds changed so since THAT was my list for the day and I have stopped I

Sexy No reason why an NQT shouldn't apply for a permanent post and. although it sounds trite - a disorganised selection process is NOT a good sign - the right job will come (((hugs)))

Evening Vali you do make me laugh.
Had some girlfriends round this evening. It was pleasant enough but to be honest I prefer chatting to you lot. They are all friends and lovely but well I just can't put my finger on it but maybe I'm not a group person really. I invited them all round cause I'm not good at organising that sort of thing and felt I 'owed' lots of them return visits. Still it is done now. I'll do the tidying up, set the dw and call it a night. Need to drop DS1 at a football match tomorrow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
