have spent the day lost in the depths of those men. But, I have had my hair done as well - hairdresser was early so I'm off over to NN's shortly to say hello to Gordon.

Just need to put some bread on first.

Kazw - glad the parcel arrived safely

  • hi all.

Well did a quick clean this morning but have been out since 8.30 this morning. DS had a day off and we have been playing. I think he enjoyed himself and now has a new haircut (and no headlice :j)

Well MIL is coming round soon ;). and DH wants to come round on Sunday. It will be a little earlier and I think I will see how it goes. i would like to be able to be in his presence and not cry TBH. I don't really want to feel like I have to be out of the house but can understand that DH will want some time with the children on his own.

The other alternative is for them to go round MIl (where DH is staying ATM). Problem i that DS has asthma and MIL has a dog so not such a great idea.

    Evening all,

I think there are a lot of people on this thread at the moment who could do with a hug, so here is a group one:grouphug3.gif

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all of the good luck vibes today, but unfortunately I didn't get the job. It was given to an American lady who had her trial yesterday (fully qualified). I wasn't too bothered though as although the class were lovely (and only 20 in the class), the staff weren't very friendly and hardly spoke to me all day! I had absolutely no feedback even at the end of the day from them, and when the agency rang up at about 5pm, they hadn't even checked to find out who had been picked, so I think they were a bit disorganised! They also seemed to treat all of the candidates differently, so the agency don't know how they were able to compare us (some taught, some didn't etc). Have since looked on the council websites for jobs, and a job that is literally about a 20 minute walk from my house has come up for September in a Year 3 class (village school) so I'm going to apply for that. Even though it's a permanent position, I'm still going to try, as if nothing else, it'll give me more interview experience if I get one. There is also another job that is about a 25 minute drive away in a Year 4 class for September also full time permanent that I'm going to apply for.

Flying wise, OH has completed his week one list (he's put up the bathroom cabinet) which has meant that I've been able to unclutter the bathroom windowsill. OH has also emptied out the loft of all of the junk that various tenants and the previous owners had left behind, and has filled up the recycling bin completely, despite it being emptied this morning and then it was so full the lid wouldn't close. He's currently trying to put the curtain track up above the patio door so that we can rehang the old curtains up as this may stop it feeling so cold in the evenings. He's doing really well, but the trouble is, there are now piles of books etc all over the place that he wants me to inspect to see if we should keep them or not.

Well we're off to my M&D's for dinner tonight as it's Friday, and I've put a request in for pancakes as I didn't get to have any on Tuesday as I was getting my hair cut (for free). It turned out well after I washed it last night, but it's a bit shorter than I was expecting, so I'll have to get used to it.

Just going to check online for some 2for1 coupons for Pizza Express, as intend to go there on Sunday when we go for lunch with toxic, as at least we'll save a bit of money on it all.

See you all tomorrow when I shall be doing most of this week's lists and also baking OH's cake as his reward (thank goodness he still hasn't finished week 2's list, or I'd be cleaning out his car too lol).

    Take care everyone,

    sexymouse xx

Rosepink - Just finished knitted evening bag (they don't take long to knit only 21 sts on 12mm needles) but got lot's of hedgehogs knitted but need sewing & stuffing!!! :rotfl:
Wow an evening bag! How lovely! It must have been someone else who was knitting for lent - I think it was GTX or somone with initials lik that.

Thanks Toochoosey,I will try that. It's been a very frustrating afternoon - couldn't stay online for more than about two minutes so gave up and decidd to print my flylady list -the printer has run out of ink. Then opened a letter from FD thinkng it was CCstatement, no it was letter about DH's account with them saying he had to immediatly repay overdraft of £550 as h has not respondd to their previous letters about going over his overdraft limit. I didn't even know he was overdrawn in that account! I thought I'd prised out of him what debts he has! He has apologised tho. He is a bit of a numpty money wise!

Have had a nice dinner and we are watching th Masterchef final as we were out last night.
Hope everyone is well,I'mgoing to catch up with thread now. And I WILL do some flying today, I WILL I promise. When rubby rugby is on!

Of course you're allowed to join! I will put a :xmastree: so that Toots and Pigpen notice you and they will welcome you when they come online next.
I think a lot of people on here work full time and fly - just do what you can, it's better than nothing. Try to do level one to start with, just take babysteps and you can soon see the difference!
Make sure you come and tell us all how you get on, we are friendly on here. I've been here about a month and a half I think and I was given a warm welcome

  • Hi I am back from NON - did her bit of shopping and sorted her out with her new washing machine - she had the last one 14 years so it was a wee bit different!
having a qick catch up before I go make food.....

mumofjust2 glad you and Ds had a nice day - it will be a bit trial and error for a while until you find a system that works for you all so dont be stressing - if you feel you are getting distressed go and pu the kettle on or do some ironing so that you are there but not necessarily in the same room and you can then go back in when you feel stronger. be proud of yourself if you can last 30 mins without tears and work on increasing that time - baby steps works here too!!!
    Hope MIL visit goes ok.
