Refund anti-wrinkle product didn't work?!?

Hi all,

I'd love to hear your thoughts on my situation:

I sold an anti-wrinkle product on eBay - an eye lifting gel which i'd been recieved as a freebie with a make-up order. The buyer has just contacted to me threatening a negative feedback because her it hasn't made any difference to her skin - here's the message:

'Hi, i received the i lifting gell but am bitterly disappointed. It does not work, my skin is in very good condition with only a few wrinkles around the eye area, below. I have applied this several times and with no results. I am not verry happy as this did cost a lot, could i have your comments please before i leave feedback.'

I understand her dissapointment, but surely i can't be responsible for the poor performance of an anit-wrinkle gel! Plus i sold it for £10 less than the retail value.

MY first thought is that most of these kind of products have to be used over a long period of time, at least a month, for any effect to show. Any way that you can find out what the claims from the manufacturer are? At least then you could quote them to her the silly cow.

How long ago did she buy it from you? have you left her feedback?

Tell her it's a gel, not a miracle worker, and that you charge extra for plastic surgery. :rotfl:

Only women could think there is such a thing as an Anti wrinkle product.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Tell her she needs to complain to the manufacturers not you. What a nightmare buyer.

I can't see Boots giving you your money back on this item if it didn't work so why should this seller?

what her neg going to be 'i bought anti wrinkle cream and i still have wrinkles?'

imagine the feedback you could leave her too!

Personally, i'd tell her to take it up with the manufacturer and remind her that you haven't left feedback yet either....

Although I dont thoink I would ask an ebayer for a refund, I'm fairly certain that Boots would give one, if you read the grabbit Boots thread ;)

OP, could you agree to a partial refund as a goodwill gesture, whilst telling your buyer to contact the company to complain.
