What form would I need?
P2 (Coding Notice) is the more usual ... or an SA statement, if you're in SA. HMRC have just completed the bulk issue of P2s ..... so you may have had one recently? If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Yep, its plastered all over NI cards that they are not proof of identity.
See example:

I have seen them be allowed for under 18s to open accounts, but never anyone over 18. Which bank allowed you to use it? I would never take one thats for sure.0 -
 Indeed, minimike2. I got one as well. Still, when opening your ISA, did they request document with your NI or just ask for the number?0

If you opened your ISA with your own bank it may be that they already had you verified on their systems and didnt need ID and simply asked for your NI card to verify your number.0

@minimike2 Well, I opened it at brand new bank with no record of me. My passport took care of that. I do wonder if the new ID cards that will come out eventually will become proof. :rolleyes:0
