Foreign Correspondant that picture is heartbreaking. Mia is a total gannet, she would eat all day if she had the choice, that poor pup looks starved, how can anyone do that.
Where abouts is that Pup FC?

I know, poor dog and only a pup too. He is in nottinghamshire (link to the rescue under the photo), but if you sre interested in a rescue dog there are planty of super dogs, pedigree and crossbreed up and down the country in rescues...

I wish more people would consider a rescue dog instead of encouraging more breeding .. record numbers of dogs are being got rid of at the moment. :(
  • Hi
Have a look at https://www.dobermannwelfare.org.uk. This is doberman rescue, and may be the best place to go as they can match your girls temperment to one of their dogs.

I saw this dobbie picture a few days ago, and sad to say this is actually a "good " recued dog, as so many more come in a much worse state than this. How do we expect these people to look after their children , if they cant look after a dog.

Ive just had a call from a dog warden desperate because their pound is putting down 4 dogs tomorrow. 2 lurchers and 2 JRs. Its sickening that healthy dogs can be just treated like worthless commodities.

oh dear - I love both lurchers and JRTs...

how come people do now seem to understand about battery chicken welfare etc, but we treat dogs so poorly, and most people seem completely ignorant to the lovely health dogs being killed just because they are unwanted?

... maybe we need a celebrity to take this on and do what Jamie Oliver and Hugh F W have done for the hens...

Well, there are a few involved arent there. But what gets me is, when there is a high profile incident, like the recent puppies who the gang of kids were attempting to bbq - the phone doesnt stop ringing here - all wanting the two pups. Which is great (though we didnt actually have them) but it makes you wonder where are all these animal lovers the rest of the time?
  • yeah, I know there are celebs involved, but maybe a prime time expose of what is happening in council pounds is needed... preferably from someone who explores pragmatically and unemotionally - much as I admire Lumley et al for what they do, they do come over a bit as 'soppy dog lovers' rather than impartial commentators.

May be that guy - cant remember his name now - but he has been doing a few interesting docs recently - one about whether out of date food was actually dangerous or not - he lived on stuff that was getting increasingly more out of date for a month and then another living rough and seeing what he could get for free. Oh gawd, whats his name. He did the rogue builder thing aswell.
