Earlier I pressed option 2, (vehicle enquiries), but as said they are closed, but I was not disconnected and I assumed i would have spoken to someone if they where open.

When I spoke to them a few weeks ago it was to answer questions about SORN, and I used option 2. I have just tried this number again now, and it answers giving me 3 options,
1) Driving licence enquiries,
2) Vehicle enquiries
3) Other, wait for an adviser.

I chose option 2, after 5 seconds of music, it gave out on the lines of " you are through to DVLA, we are now closed but have automated enquiries", and then gives out their opening times, and other info.

Might I suggest that as it is Sunday and you might have inclusive calls on your phone, you call the number and see what they offer?

I did succeed with my enquiry on the phone on the 01792 782341 number.

I chose 3, derrick, but had an 'in order to assist you blahblah, please select one of blahblah', with result as above.
I've now been most of day on the comparison sites for insce quotes, too.
Ho hum.
