Onspeed?

ONSPEED

Anyone tried it yet and would you recommend it? Broadband won't be in my area until next May so would this help current frustration?

I have heard that if you do a lot of downloading it is no faster but for webpage access it is supposed to be faster.

Tried it, used it, binned it!.

I have no doubt that for some people, they will find it satisfactory, but my experience was as follows:-

I tried the sample and thought it may suit me so downloaded and agreed to pay the required amount.

As I understood it, you are given a choice:-

a), to delete all photographs/images etc and simply take text, which will give a faster "to screen" download.

    b) remain with normal photographs/images and text, and notice very little improvement in speed.

I felt it wasn't worth the hastle of continually going back and forth to delete photo's etc (if they weren't required) simply to gain a slightly faster download.

So I unsubscribed from the service.

Can I repeat that this is MY opinion based on MY understanding of the service and that there may well be people who find it to their liking.

I have tried to use OnSpeed myself, however I really cannot recommend it personally.

Unless you disable all the pictures etc. etc , then really it is an expensive piece of useless software.

If you are having problems with the browser being slow, then may I suggest Firefox?

Of course you may be using this already!!

Don't believe the hype, but as the previous poster said try the free version.
