Hi there,
considering renting a house/flat for approximately 6 months. Will require internet accesss. At the moment I have virgin.net broadband. I require the cheapeset possible broadband with a contract not over 6 months - I do not require a telephone line. The area I'm moving into is NTL cabled but their minimum contract is 12 months. Any ideas? I've heard of using your orange mobile phone for internet access - how fast is that?

It will be slow..... 3G phones will perform faster though, even though either would be an expensive way to surf the internet
If you want go with NTL - then you have to go for a BT based ADSL line - but then you'll need a telephone line - thus bringing in a minimum 12 month contract from BT, even if you did find a monthly ADSL contract.... you are pretty much stuck in terms of broadband
Therefore, use a dialup service - but again, you'll need a phone line0 -
Got the same problem Sam.
check on adslguide.org for short contract length broadband. You need to get a phone line, and you'll have to pay an activation/cancelation fee of 50 quid approx.
Not cheap, but much cheaper than the 3G phone option.0
