Parking ticket with blue badge

It could be that all blue badge holders were ticketed - it is well known in some parts of the UK that blue badges get pinched out of genuinely disabled people's cars which are then stuck on cars to obtain easier parking at football matches. I am not saying that you are not genuine, however.
Also you have parked in a bay that says permit holders only and I presume that you don't have a permit and only a blue badge - sorry but blue badges also need to be permit holders to park in permit holder only bays.0 -
ok so a few developments. i looked on the terms of the blue badge and say cant park in residents parking bay unless local orthority has agreed. my mother being a single mom did not want to appeal as there is no way she could afford £70 and didnt want the stress of it all. after all the car is for use for my bro to do things and due to his condition would not be able to go on public transport
She sent the cheque yesterday and this morning i recieved the following emailFurther to your recent e.mail regarding the parking of your vehicle on witton Lane on match days.
I have had it confirmed that Witton Lane is not actually within the Aston Villa Residents Scheme ( although it may once have been ) so you are perfectly entitled to park on that road displaying your blue badge. Bear in mind however that if you park on yellow lines you are only able to park for a maximum of three hours just as you are on any other street that has double yellow lines.
i sent an email with a image from google maps stating the exact place i parked so its no doubt they have the correct road. so now what happens, i know martin says dont pay if you want to challenge but didnt want to risk it getting more costly. I have replied to the email stating that it was sent yesterday and the reasons for paying. Is there any chance we will get the money back?It could be that all blue badge holders were ticketed - it is well known in some parts of the UK that blue badges get pinched out of genuinely disabled people's cars which are then stuck on cars to obtain easier parking at football matches. No offence taken here, im sure it happens a lot. however simply by checking the badge number with the vehicle reg can see its genuine. Im a care worker myself aswell as looking after my bro so im the last sort of person to be taking advantage. If it werent for my bro i wouldnt even drive to the football id get the train etc.
The only reason i started parking is after i enquired with the police AND traffic warden who both said it was fine.
I am going to park there again now i have confirmation, would it seem over the top to print the letter and place it on the dash board??
Cant believe they have slapped a ticket on when its not even a residents bay anymore, and surely they are braking the law by having the signs on??
i know private comapnies take cars away from football games and think they had done this to a lot that were parked in the road i was in, but decided to give me a ticket as couldnt tow with blue badge. My brother would not understand if the car is not there after the game so just hope that dont happen
thanks in advance0 -
