Parking ticket with blue badge

Went to the football today and recieved a parking ticket
I park in a little slip road that says permit holders only but have parked their for a year displaying blue badge.
I have previously asked the police and the ticket warden if its ok to park with a blue badge there and they said it is
i have saw cars there get tickets in the past but all ones with blue badges have been left alone. is this just a jobsworth attendant or not??
did notice a lot of empty spaces there today so not sure if some got towed away
ironic thing is there is no residential places where the road is

says permit holders only
Answered your own question.0 -
so why would traffic warden and police both say its fine and doesnt say you cant use blue badge0
-
Go to the parking section and they will ask you to post a scan or photo of both sides of the parking ticket. There are many councils which pay lip service to the regulations.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

This happened to me in Blackpool, turns out the street in question had a loading bay sign further along the road. I questioned the reason for the ticket and was told I still had to pay the fine.0

Can you prove that0 -
look at it another way
if you paid for your permit wouldnt you be a bit !!!!ed off that everytime a match is on you cant get parked?0 -
not really as i say, no cars are ever parked there, and no residential area within around 1km0
-
well there has to be a reason for an enforced permit zone0
-
Chances are that the traffic warden is much more savvy on the regs than you and is therefore more likely to be right. Why not challenge it and see what they say?0
-
OP - was it a council ticket? If so, please provide details of the council, and show us ALL of the ticket (front and back).
If private, take the standard advice, and ignore it.
And someone might want to move this thread to the parking ticket forum?0
