Experience of closing Capital One and Llloyds TSB accounts

I'm having problems with both of these guys closing my accounts. Everyone else seems to have done it straight away in the past except these guys. Anyone got any experience of timescales? Lloyds : paid off my bill in full and cancelled in late December. Checked my credit report, and at the last update (22/1/06), it claimed…

I cancelled my Lloyds card on 29 September, received a letter confirming the cancellation, but as of today - 7 weeks after requesting cancellation - both Experian and Equifax are showing a £0 balance, rather than 'settled'. Experian's 'last update' date is August, whereas Equifax shows about 3 weeks after the card was cancelled, yet still fails to show it as settled.
