I hope Mollies plight puts people off from letting their cat have kittens. Well done for helping the little thing0

Molly is fine, she's still eating like a horse and slowly growing. I think she is slowly starting to open her ears as she is in a cat basket for safety from my other cats and there have been a couple of times that she has been at the door of it squeaking for her next feed and sucking on the bars as we are making it up lol
Her eyes should be opening soon so when they do I will post pics.0 -
so glad she is doing well ,I can't wait to see new picsIn Perfect love and Perfect Trust.0

That is really excellent news, I am so pleased she is doing well. It must be exhausting for you to "play mum" for her but it will all be worth it when she grows and you can be sure that she is going to be okay.
I can't wait to see the photos.0 -

OMG - I can't wait! You've got surrogate mum's fighting over her all over Kent! lol
Keep up the excellent work - it must be a 24-7 job. I know I couldn't take my eyes off her for a second.

Hiya
Just a quick update, Molly is still thriving, she is nearly 3 weeks old now and becoming stronger everyday. She's now showing affection which is lovely as she loves being stroked and rubbed around the face and rolls on her back for her belly to be rubbed lol.
I do have one question though for anyone who might know, Molly is losing her fur slowly, she is losing it on her back mainly, her skin is great, no soreness or dryness she's just going bald and I don't know why. She hasn't got fleas and her skin doesn't seem to be itchy in anyway. Has anyone else who's raised kittens had this problem before? If so what did you do?
She isn't in any pain or distress but I am making an appointment on monday for her at the vets just to have a check up and to see if they know what could be causing it.0 -
Great stuff about making an appointment with the vet! He or she will probably screen kitty for a number of things .. it could be mites, ringworm or an allergy to something... but she may just have a gene that predisposes her to being bald ... hope not, but some cats do and can suddenly lose their fur like you described, so it's another possibility.
(Hope you can knit ... you may have to be knitting some little coats for her! Tell her not only chihuahuas can be hip and fashionable!!) ... I think it's going to be down to tests though to figure this out cos there's just so many things it could be.
The main thing is that it isn't bothering her.0 -
Some up to date pics (not the best but she's a wiggler)
Looking sorry for herself after a bath
