I am going to Palma at the same time for a couplke of nights. Flights £3.75 each way, total 15 quid. 4* Hotel for the 2 nights £84.
Ryanair prices will come down again soon. Keep an eye on the site. Then once you get a flight the Hotels are plentiful.

Yes Palma was one option we looked at last year, sounds perfect for a short break to chill out.
    £100 - £10,000
  • I noticed that Ryanair fly to Barcelons Girona airport. This is a really stupid question but how far from Barcelona is it roughly?

About 60 miles and 21 Euros return on the bus, look HERE.
  • What a drama this weekend is turning out to be. All of the outbound flights are at good times but the inbound ones are all over the place.

The best times and price we can find are flying to Barcelona gerona but flying back from barcelona BCN. If we fly back from Gerona then it means a really early start which goes against the point of a weekend to recharge the batteries.

Just got to try to find somewhere between Gerona and Barcelona. I have been using the aa routefinder of all things and have to admit that it is excellent.

  • After all this the wife finally decided to tell me she fancied Majorca. Flights are booked so just have to find a nice hotel. I was thinking of either Palma or Palma Nova as these are fairly close to the airport and possibly will have a few people around and a bit of nightlife (pubs and bars not clubs)

  • Not a problem. The hotel is rated number 1 on trip advisor so should be quite good
