Swirling in and out of debt

:mad::mad::mad: So hacked off! Why is it every time one thing gets sorted, something else goes wrong. I am so furious I really feel like just telling all creditors to go **** themselves.
We have loans with the evil Welcome (yes I know, stupid but took them out ages ago). Each month my OH calls them and makes payment by card over the phone. We used to have a DD but they kept taking them on random dates causing problems. I spoke to someone at their office towards the end of last month, had the PPI taken off - all good so far. HA! I asked the girl if I could have the bank details so I could set up a SO - was told they 'don't offer that payment option'; annoying but not the end of the world. I said that my OH would call as usual after our rent and council tax had gone - she said no problem.
Yesterday I checked my bank and my rent SO has been returned unpaid - panic  as I knew there should be enough. Then I find out that card payments were taken by Welcome - they weren't authorised, neither of us called. Phoned the bank who said they could not stop the payment but would send out paperwork and that would start the process of recalling it. It could take up to 10 days from when they get the paperwork. Meanwhile we are now in trouble as our rent hasn't been paid.

Hi. Firstly, don't panic. Ring your landlord and explain the problem.
It may be worth changing your bank account and have your income paid into that. Then have your priority debts taken out of that. Transfer just enough into your old account to pay people like Welcome, that way you should be able to keep up to date with the important things.
Online banking may help as well.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0
