What a night. OH went to a party and was due to get the train home, I was going to pick him and friend up from the station. But, they missed the last train. Then they said they had sorted out a cheapish taxi home - no problem there. Then, I got a call at 4am saying all taxis were charging £80  , which they couldn't afford (or rather did not want to pay), so could I come and get them. 2 hours driving later, we finally all get home at 6am.

Oh well, I suppose at least that was rather DFW :rolleyes2!

Bailiffs - what a bunch of *******. I sent a complaint letter on 23rd, signed for on 25th, stating my complaint and saying that account would be paid in full at month end. Got a letter dated 26th saying it would be investigated.

Paid the amount in full on 27th via council online site. Got letter saying bailiff arriving on Sat - called and informed him of complaint and payment in full.

Today I got a letter threatening me with committal to prison (I'm too nice to go to jail _pale_)! !!!!!!!!!! It is dated 30th March after I paid, after they said they would investiate and after we verbally told the bailiff. They said I hadn't made an arrangement to pay (ha!) and the bailiff had not managed to enter property to remove goods (he never tried).

Needless to say, I have emailed the letter to Herbie21.

I think I will have to set aside more time to write letters!

    Back to writing letters!

I have had no reply from either Newlyn or the council about my complaint - it has been 2 weeks now. I will give them a little longer as although I have now paid the amount in full I am not prepared to let them off the hook!

No response from Natwest regarding my complaints, instead they seem to have sold on the debt to Wescot . I have written a follow up letter to the original complaint to Natwest (and complained about the debt being sold on) and an account in dispute letter to Wescot.

Rossendales did send through a breakdown of the fees and are only claiming the 2 visit charges. So my final letter is to the 3 councils (or their DCA) to propose a pro rata payment per month to clear the arrears.

No word yet on my PPI claim, which is rather annoying.

Once I have dealt with the priority stuff I can start working on the rest!

    Letters all sent.
I've now set up an ebay account and will be listing anything that I don't like/use/need.

Just need to keep plugging away.

The pro-rata c-tax payments have been set up by S/O - £300 between the 3. One council has accepted the arrangement, one hasn't bothered responding at all.

The 3rd one is with Rossendales - they haven't accepted the arrangement. Instead they have asked for £700+ a month - obviously they are deluded. I am writing to them asking them to reconsider and including a copy of my SOA so they can see that they are getting what we can afford.

In any case, we have now cleared more than 25% of the arrears:T.

We have received an apology from Newlyns for their nasty letters! We have also received an apology from Wescot about the Natwest dispute and they have closed their account. Natwest are still investigating - it is taking longer than they thought.

We are also going to apply to have our bank charges claim looked at under hardship rules.
