My Challenges This Week - W/C 12th Feb

OK my challenges for this week are :)

To take my lunch to work everyday.

To have at least one 'no spend day'.

To sort out some things to sell on ebay.

I actually have one of the worst weeks ahead of me work wise, I have some really had targets to hit in the next ten days so my focus may be a little off :o but Im going to try my best.

Good Luck everyone, have a great debt busting week and remember to come back my weekend and let us all know how youve got on. :j

I had some fish tonight that was best before Feb 2005!! Not dead yet though lol.

I have: lamb steak, 2 burgers, chicken burger, 2 Kievs, fish in butter sauce, unidentified savoury pastry thing, 4 beanburgers and some haddock. Also frozen veg.

  • My goal for this week involves a 3kg joint of pork from sainsburys that we bought for £7. It has been roasted and this evening we have had the crackling and some slices with stuffing. Last time I managed to make 4 meals from this monster, and my goal for this week is a different 4 meals without becoming utterly sick of pork.
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!
  • my goals for this week:

to pay the remainder of my credit card balance wednesday :j

spend nothing during the week

book my train ticket for march :D
  • My goals include...

    * sorting out this long and tedious battle with Barclays over PPI

    * getting some ink for the printer, thus enabling me to print & post letters requesting details of charges applied to bank account/ credit card/ store card

    * have a least one non-spend day

    * save at least another 3 £2 coins

    * pay the contents of my penny jar into the bank and make a huge dent in the outstanding balance on a store card with a daft APR

    * organise and pay for my holiday

    * and spend a max of £20 on a food shop
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • (moneysaving) Goals for THIS week:-

*Get back into my usual moneysaving ways - have at least 3 no spend days. Stop spending money!
*Work more on setting up my new business. Try and find out about start-up grants.
*Read more of Martin's book and Money For Life by Alvin Hall.
*Take my lunch to work every day

Good luck everyone with all your goals!

    Challenges for the next week:

Again, take food and drink for 6 hour train journey (quite a commute hey! long story  ) to avoid pricey food but maybe allow a coffee ;)

Only buy absolute essentials foodwise to make up for last week. Am staying with parents from wednesday onwards so shouldn't be too hard!

Keep checking to see if there will be another 5p listing day on ebay any time soon!

Contribute at least £4 to my £2 coin savings (without spending just to get change :rotfl: ).

Best of luck with your challenges everyone!

Well its my first week trying to cut back so I thought I'd start by joining in with the challenge.

    My goals this week are:-

    * To try and spend under £30 on groceries

    * Use up some of the food I have in freezer/cupboards

    * To not buy a latte/dainsh on the way to work in the morning

    * To make sandwiches for lunch everyday

    * To not buy the newspapers (normally get Guardian in the morning and Evening Standard on way home) and pick up freebies like the Metro and Evening Standard Lite instead.
