Why do I keep checking the price of the holiday I've already booked?

I keep doing this too! Thought I was the only one

I'm feeling rather smug as our holiday has gone up by almost £200 per person since we booked it about 5 weeks ago

I booked a package holiday to Turkey on Monday and I keep (well, once a day) checking the website out to see if it's gone up or down (or even sold out) since I booked.
No change so far.
If the price goes up, I'm not going to gloat or pat myself on the back for being 'so smart'.
If it goes down, I'm not going to come on here and ask if I can get the difference in price back.
I was happy with the price I paid - otherwise I wouldn't have booked it.
I checked out other T/Os and decided it WAS a good deal.
I checked out the hotel and thought the reviews were OK.
Great daytime flights - sometimes hard to get from Turkey.
I'm happy that I can now sit back and look forward to my holiday.
I'd have been gutted if I'd left it and then it HAD gone up in price or even been sold out (it's a small hotel with only 25 rooms).
So - why do I do it?
...because I'm bloody nosy, that's why.
And maybe because I'm stuck in the house as we've got builders in at the moment.

Is it true the more "hits" a destination/hotel/resort gets the price go's up because so much interest being shown ??I would love to be a Travel Agent :j0

Woohooooo - our flights alone (to Florida) have gone up by £200!
WILL NOT check again before we fly.
