Why do I keep checking the price of the holiday I've already booked?

I booked a package holiday to Turkey on Monday and I keep (well, once a day) checking the website out to see if it's gone up or down (or even sold out) since I booked.
No change so far.

If the price goes up, I'm not going to gloat or pat myself on the back for being 'so smart'.
If it goes down, I'm not going to come on here and ask if I can get the difference in price back.
I was happy with the price I paid - otherwise I wouldn't have booked it.
I checked out other T/Os and decided it WAS a good deal.
I checked out the hotel and thought the reviews were OK.
Great daytime flights - sometimes hard to get from Turkey.
I'm happy that I can now sit back and look forward to my holiday.
I'd have been gutted if I'd left it and then it HAD gone up in price or even been sold out (it's a small hotel with only 25 rooms).

So - why do I do it?

...because I'm bloody nosy, that's why.

And maybe because I'm stuck in the house as we've got builders in at the moment.

Snap! It won't bother me in the slightest if it goes down or up, I just like knowing daily that I have got a good deal.

Hehe I do that too. Mainly with car hires though as they match/beat the price if you find it cheaper ;)
Going to US in May and already had the car hire company lower the price 2 times already hehe.

    No! No! No!, angelkay.

    "Smug" is NOT allowed. :naughty::rotfl:

Hmmm. I wonder if you'd have told us if it had gone down?

At least you've all made me feel that I'm something approaching normal because I do this. ;)
  • I keep doing this with our holiday, it is only Butlins but I am constantly checking to see how much it is now. Luckily we got ours half price so I can't see it being any cheaper. I won't stop checking though!

lol i definately would not have said if it had gone down in price i think i would have stewed about it for a couple of days instead!! we paid just under £150 for a week to a 4* 1 bed self catering in albufeira with all the amenities we wanted like indoor pool for the kiddies and laundry room they also do massage!!! -i doubt it will go down by much but just now I am more than happy to report that it's £20 more expensive woo hooo
I always go back n check prices especially on flights my oh thinks i'm mad as i do get hacked off if i have missed out on an even bigger bargain!

Blimey, I thought i was the only one who did this (and didn't admit to it!).

We went on holiday last year and I constantly checked to see if it had gone up or down in price after I'd booked it. Probably to see if I'd got a good deal (or not). As it happens, the price did go up but only because of the increase in the fuel surcharge prices.

Haven't booked anything for this year yet but know that, if I do, I'll be doing the same thing again!
It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?
