Internet Explorer - patches are released in a comparable speed to that of any "open source" campaign.

Take a look at linux, M$ cant compete with the speed of releases and innovation. For exery one M$ personnel working on a given project there are 100s of open source guys working for free.

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.
  • Was it not just before Christmas that Microsoft were telling people to use another browser as they had discovered that nasty XML exploit? It took them a whole week to release a patch! And that was unusual as Microsoft doesn't really like to release out-of-cycle patches, they have a timetable they like to keep to.

I disagree if M$ weren't so lax with security we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Agreed, if it was the other way around and Linux was getting plagued with Viri then the complaints about the O/S would be the complete opposite.

Is that Viruses you meant try finishing your words before sprouting such cr*p.

Linux's security makes it almost impossible for a virus to run let alone do what they do to windozzzze.

Not sure, haven’t done any test on it yet to make an informed decision, no doubt it will be ranked better than IE by those who make uniformed non-technical based statements. ;)
