Which is the best deal? Help...
OK, I've been offered the following:
Orange - Sony Ericsson w705 - 18 months - 300mins/100 texts - £20/month - free phone - no Quidco cashback as offer is in-store only
Vodafone - Sony Ericsson W715 - 18 months - 200mins/unlimited texts - £20/month - £48 phone - £90 Quidco cashback
200 mins and 100 texts are enough for me so both deals are fine in that way. I slightly prefer the W715, it galls me to pay for a handset but Quidco pays twice as much as the handset cost.
I guess what I'm asking is: which network is better for coverage and customer service? If you get a phone online and it develops a fault, how easy/quick is it to get it repaired? Do they back up your numbers etc?
Thanks very much in advance.

Personally I would go for neither. I'd look around for a better deal
You should aim for 500/500 minimum and with the networks all fighting for business, this is quite possible. And also, in my experience they dont shy away from hagglersLive for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0 -
Don't forget the 2-4-1 Cinema tickets and Pizza Express deals with Orange2p off is still 2p off!0

I am quite bad at haggling (sorry OP for hijacking your thread)... I never seem to get anywhere, am always told 'sorry, that's the best we can do'. I'm looking at the Tocco but as it's such a new handset would I get anywhere with haggling? indierocker (and others), I would be grateful for any tips you may have.

Never take their first offer, sometimes they'll call you back the next day or so asking why you didn't upgrade. Trying asking for a PAC and have details of other offers from competitors when you call up2p off is still 2p off!0

I already have my PAC, am definitely changing network (poor signal so no matter how good their upgrade offer is I can't stay with them). It's the other networks I'm trying to haggle with...Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Ah OK, you've checked cashback obviously but have you looked at other retailer sites, like e2save, CarPhoneWarehouse, etc2p off is still 2p off!0

Yes, they don't have either phone yet as they're so new, Phones4u don't have it either. I've tried onecompare but it only has the W705 and the deal is not much better (I don't do redemption cashback deals, they are not worth the hassle imho).
The Orange deal also includes unlimited calls to landlines, 100 texts/month is usually enough for me...
Should I be asking for more minutes/texts? I can get 600 mins and unlimited texts from Voda for £25/month with the Tocco...Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

generally Voda has best coverage but you should check locally
You should be able to do better; if you don't fancy the hassle of cashback many sites now offer an instant cashback deal w715 soes not seem to be on the comparison sites yet voda say its available 1st marchTANSTAAFL !0 -
How long after a phone is released does it appear on the cashback sites?
I rang back, they are now offering me the Tocco for £16/month with the above mins/texts. Maybe I am getting somewhere??Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
