Here you go,

Orange Executive Office
50 George Street
LONDON
W1U 7DZ

Email: executive.office@orange.co.uk

Might be an idea to post what the store says and then we can advise you more. . .

Thanks dhbedson but it is now long past the 2 week cooling off period and it was only when he got his bill he realised that they had treated it as an upgrade.

Jon 01 thanks for the address and email.
When he goes back to the shop I'll tell you what happens.
• I've been told I have to tell Orange exactly one month in advance of the date of the end of the contract otherwise they'll automatically renew, so this may be the problem.

Orange can be very misleading with regards to sales, but if your son claimed on the insurance, then surely this would be a separate issue from the upgrade?

Thanks wolfsong (what a lovely user name)
He is adamant that he made it very clear in the shop that it was an insurance claim but I agree that Orange can be very misleading with their sales. I hope he can sort it out soon.
Can Orange automatically renew contracts that surely they shouldn't be allowed to do that. He was really keep to move away from them.

They won't automatically renew for 12 or 18 months. When a contract term ends it changes to a month on month contract until you either upgrade or terminate.

I'd agree.

Unless you specifically agree a renewal,it goes month to month, but do what I always do,and don't bother going to the numpty at the beginning of the chain, and go straight to the top,in this case the exec office.I ALWAYS do it this way,as the result tends to come quicker.I have just done the same thing this week to the President of the organisation of my hobby, (I'm a radio ham.) about a former member of my club who is spreading malicious gossip about my members, (I'm Chairman.) and they are looking into it as a matter of urgency.

You've more chance of it getting solved from the top, rather than from the bottom,or as I always say,it's easier to shovel brown stuff downhill, than up.
That's my mutt in the picture above.
