    Back in the old days when cars ran on 4 star and seatbelts were often an optional extra there was a little pull out thingy called a choke, you pulled it out before starting the car and it would provide extra fuel and slowly pull itself back in as extra fuel was only needed during start up, by putting her bag handle on it the choke wouldn't be able to go back in and therefore the car would be using extra fuel for the whole journey :cool:


    I think that's all correct (please note I'm technically too young to know this so forgive me any inconsistencies)
