Is this $20 trick 101% fool-proof, because I'm going to Vegas in April and will definitely do it if someone gurantees me it works. Otherwise i'd be completely gutted if I ended up $20 down, through trying to cheat the system

If you're gutted about being $20 down then I doubt Vegas is the best place for you to goI would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0

lol! The lost $20 could have/would have been potentially quadruppled, now that is something to be gutted about!Competition Wins:Now CD, Running with Scissors DVD, Ninja Gaiden XBox 360 Game, Signed Atmosphere CD, Spa Day, Unreal Tournament III XBox 360 GameFree Money Earned in 2013: £25 thus far0

ha ha ha i didnt mean to cause so much confusion, but i think i will keep my money in my pocket, it was for an upgrade but i get the feeling this wont work in london0

Does it work at the airport check-in?

In London, ask the concierge for an "extra pillow"0

The twenty dollar bill trick is sweeping the travel industry and becoming extremely popular, especially in Las Vegas. When you check into a hotel you simply slip the front desk clerk a $20 bill with your credit card, while asking "Do you have any complimentary upgrades available?". The general rule of thumb is that the front desk clerk will check for upgrades and if they cannot find anything they will return the $20 tip, making it risk free!
its a very cheap way of getting an upgrade.i`m sure in london the clerk would be asking for a lot more to upgrade
Surely if this idea is sweeping the travel industry then everyone would get an upgrade, which of course is impossible because there are only a finite amount of upgrade rooms, im sure hotel staff would love this to become the norm because if they havent got an upgradeable room they are still $20/£15 up.Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -
