hello jusst to warn people with children not to buy from toys r us i was sold a trike which broke and they try to get out by saying it was mis used i have wrote phoned and got no where now writing toceo in usa i am gutted by their treatment and the sooner they go broke the better i am now going to warn every body i see i have the number of the so called head of customer serives if needed:mad:

I have never heard anything good about their customer service, I'll vote with my feet and stay away! Hope you get a response from toceo soon!!

I got extremely bad treatment from ToysR Us years ago and voted with my feet and have never shopped there since. Totalling up over the years, they have lost hundreds of pounds that I've spent elsewhere. I phoned, wrote etc and got nowhere. Customer Services was non-existent and when I actually spoke to a store manager she was the rudest most unprofessional person I think I have ever spoken to who had no concept of any consumer law. I wouldn't wish badly on any store because if a store goes bust, lots of people lose their jobs but in the case of Toys R Us I make an exception because I hate that store with a passion :mad:

Toys R Us are overpriced anyway. Who would spend their money in a greed driven company when they can spend it in decent shopkeeper's stores?

I used to buy toys at Woolworths. ToysRus have always been overpriced and we also bought a trike with parent handle two years ago. One of the wheels was faulty and they tried to get out of changing it. It had not been used and it was obvious as the wheels were unmarked and had no dirt on them. After hasseling and threatening to stand at the door and tell customers walking in about our problem they changed it over. Go to the store, and speak to the manager if you have not already done so. Don't forget you receipt, be firm and say you are not leaving without a replacement it's as simple as that.

tried that and theybwould not budge they get out by saying it was mis used and only to be used on pavements and there quality control dept say because it si mis used that the mis sold does not apply wrote 2 to managing director trading standards and now ceo in usa but will make sure i tell everyone what liars they are i still have not had trike retuned going to put sign in back of land rover and tell customers how rubbish they are thanks for your reply just so angry never had anything like this before

update tuys r us said they wont ban me from there stores thats nice of them and give 10 pounds of any futher purchase what do they think i am has if i would give them any of my hard cash i wont stop i want a full refund since they are liars

It's really hard to understand your posts. From what I gather, Toys R Us are refusing to give you a refund and you've been talking to someone named Toceo about the problem?

If you're not getting any satisfaction in store, go over their heads and write to the UK head office, laying out what has happened and that you're aware of your rights (well covered elsewhere here). Don't waste your time arguing with people in the store.

Fixed it the best I could and hope it makes sense now.
